Who we are

Tradies Bureau is based in Victoria, Australia. This policy covers this website, tradiesbureau.com. The Tradies Bureau app at portal.tradiesbureau.com holds the details of the businesses that use it. They're used only to run the app for that business, and we don't sell them.

When you send us a message

The form on the contact page sends your name, email and message to us, along with your business name and phone number if you give them. They're stored in the Tradies Bureau app, where only the people who run Tradies Bureau can see them. We use them to reply to you, and to talk to you about Tradies Bureau if you asked us to. We don't add you to a mailing list or pass your details on.

To stop the form being flooded, we record a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address, never the address itself. That lets us limit how many messages one connection can send.

Visitor statistics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful: how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where they are (city or region), what device they use, and whether they got in touch. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. It doesn't tell us who you are, and we don't use it for advertising.

You can stop it with your browser's privacy settings, a content blocker, or Google's opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way. Google's own use of the data is covered by how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your choices

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted. Email tradiesbureau@gmail.com or call 0402 469 948. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you're not happy with how we've handled a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
